Terms & Conditions of Service

Quote Variations

If site conditions, access, or measurements differ from those supplied by the client, a revised quote may apply for extra materials and labour beyond the original quote.

If the client chooses not to proceed with any additional required work, the original quoted amount remains payable in full for the work completed as per original site specifications.

Soil & Landscaping Material Placement

Landscaping materials, such as soil, are typically sourced and delivered by third-party landscape supply providers in your area before our team arrives to keep costs low.

If landscaping materials are due for delivery, we recommend placing a tarpaulin for materials to be placed onto.

If landscaping materials are placed directly on paved surfaces, it may cause staining. If landscaping materials are placed directly on existing lawn, a thin layer of residual material may remain which cannot be removed without damaging the grass underneath. This can be expected to settle naturally over time.

Underground Services

We undertake a Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) search before excavation to identify major registered underground services.

The client must disclose any private, recent, or unregistered underground infrastructure, such as:

  • Irrigation systems,

  • Garden lighting,

  • Shallow pipework.

While reasonable care is taken, we are not liable for damage to improperly marked or disclosed services.

Subsurface Obstructions

The presence of tree roots, old stumps, buried debris, or rubble can significantly increase excavation difficulty.

These obstructions must be disclosed by the client prior to the commencement of works.

If discovered, these may require additional labour, time, or disposal, and extra charges may apply beyond the original quote.

Tree stump grinding or major root removal is not included unless explicitly stated.

Excess Soil, Sand, or Lawn Removal

Our quotes assume that any existing soil, sand, or lawn to be removed and replaced is at approximately the same level the new materials are to be installed to.

If the existing material sits above the desired final level and requires removal before installation can occur, extra charges may apply beyond the original quote to cover labour, additional landscaping materials, and disposal costs.

Equipment Access & Site Requirements

Clients must ensure the site is accessible and a legal placement location is available for all materials, vehicles, trailers, and machinery.

Access issues may require a revised quote.

It is the client’s responsibility to protect or move any fragile items (e.g. pots, solar lights, ornaments) prior to installation.

Any required council permissions or permits are the client’s responsibility.

Waste Disposal

Standard clean-up includes removal of turf offcuts and debris.

If significant excess material must be removed due to unexpected volumes or client changes, a disposal surcharge may apply.

While we aim to leave your site tidy, some residual soil or debris may remain, consistent with norms in landscape construction.

Full cleaning of driveways, paving, or external areas after install is not included unless quoted separately.

Weather & Delays

Lawn installations are subject to weather conditions. Excess rain, waterlogged ground, or extreme heat may delay work. We are not liable for schedule disruptions due to weather or access-related delays.

Watering & Aftercare

Once installed, care of the lawn becomes the client’s responsibility.

We do not guarantee outcomes if proper watering and maintenance are not undertaken and do not provide warranties against weed growth, insect activity, or disease post-installation.

Turf Appearance

Turf may show minor visible join lines or seam patterns when first laid. This is typical of new lawn and will fade as the lawn grows in.

Turf is a natural product, and slight colour variation between turf rolls can be expected. Any variations can be expected to blend out as the lawn establishes and is watered and mowed.

Lawn Level & Natural Settlement

We strive to install lawn as level and even as practically possible. However, some minor unevenness may be visible immediately after installation due to:

  • Natural land gradients or slopes,

  • Subsurface conditions like tree roots, rubble, or organic matter.

  • Slight variations in thickness between turf rolls during lawn harvest process.

  • Fresh soil remains relatively soft and loose (as it should be to ensure root penetration and water absorption). During installation, the team must walk, kneel, and shift rolls by hand which may create minor temporary depressions.

  • Even with great prep and skill, turf is a natural product installed by hand and you should allow for a real-world tolerance in flatness.

Any unevenness can be expected to level out subjected to foot traffic and mowing over the coming weeks. Any remaining areas can be addressed with a light topdressing, standard in lawn maintenance.

Pet Safety

Soil blends may include organic components such as pig manure which, while beneficial for turf growth, can be harmful to some animals if ingested.

Clients are therefore advised to keep pets away from all exposed soil areas.

Payment Terms

A deposit is required to confirm bookings.

The balance is payable in full on completion, before our team leaves site.

Delayed or withheld payments may result in late fees.
